Job Title
- Surgical Technologist - Labor and Delivery
Location
- Plattsburgh, NY
Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 16-week assignment, night shifts (12-hour shifts, rotating as needed)
Key Responsibilities
- Support surgical procedures within Labor and Delivery, ensuring sterile field and assisting surgical team
- Float and cover weekend shifts every other week or as needed
- Maintain compliance with unit protocols, including medication administration and patient preparation
- Assist with patient care activities, including postpartum and neonatal care as applicable
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to deliver high-quality care
Required Qualifications
- Valid Surgical Technologist certification through NBSTSA
- BLS certification required; NRP certification preferred
- 2 or more years of experience in a relevant clinical setting, ideally in a labor and delivery or surgical perinatal unit
- Must have recent work history in facilities of similar size, trauma level, or maternal care specialization
- Able to provide all necessary documentation including work history, certifications, and employment gaps
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel healthcare experience preferred
- Experience with trauma Level II or higher facilities
- Familiarity with hospital EMR systems such as Epic or GE Centricity Perinatal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
