Schedule / Job Type
- Days shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist surgical teams in operating room procedures, ensuring adherence to protocols and safety standards
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to any intraoperative complications
- Maintain sterile environments and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly prepared and handled
- Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with hospital policies
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland
- Previous operating room or perioperative nursing experience preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and surgical procedures
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certification in perioperative nursing (CNOR) is a plus
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced surgical environments
