- Days shifts, approximately 10.5 hours per shift
- 4 shifts per week
- Assignment length: 13 weeks
- Start date: November 17, 2025
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the operating room as a surgical technologist with First Assist responsibilities.
- Serve as a patient advocate during procedures, acting as a resource for the sterile field.
- Support surgical teams during complex procedures such as total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and robotic surgeries.
- Collaborate with circulating nurses and surgical staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols while maintaining a positive team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist First Assist (CSTFA) through NBSTSA
- Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of 2 years of recent OR experience as a CSTFA or in a similar role
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience as a circulating technologist
- Knowledge of vein harvesting procedures
- Familiarity with robotic surgical cases (e.g., Xi robotic platform)
- Ability to manage diverse surgical procedures including total joints and spine surgeries
