Therapist - Respiratory Therapist
Location: Indianapolis, IN
Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, night shifts (4x12's or 3x12's), rotating weekends, float to multiple specialties including NICU, PICU, and Peds
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory care primarily in NICU and PICU units, utilizing advanced ventilator management including Servo I, Servo U, and Hamilton G5 systems
- Manage respiratory therapy equipment and monitor patient vital signs, oxygenation, and ventilation parameters
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement treatment plans for neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients
- Respond to emergency codes and assist with critical care procedures as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in compliance with hospital policies
Required Qualifications:
- Indiana State Respiratory Therapist license (must be in-hand to submit)
- NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification (must be in-hand to submit)
- Recent (minimum 18 months) NICU or PICU experience, including vent management (Servo I, Servo U, Hamilton G5)
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS (NRP preferred and may be obtained post-offer)
- Education from an accredited CoARC program, regionally accredited by CHEA
- Experience with vent management and critical neonatal/pediatric care
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- PALS certification
- Prior experience working in a children's hospital or neonatal intensive care unit
- Ability to float among NICU, PICU, and Peds units as needed
