Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, contract, 13 weeks, days shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), working 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic patient care within the telemetry unit, monitoring cardiac rhythms and responding to patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and departmental protocols.
- Utilize telemetry equipment to continuously monitor patient vital signs and cardiac activity.
- Document patient status and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or compact state.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience, preferably with telemetry monitoring.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Triage and trauma experience, with familiarity in external fixation and wound care procedures.
- Experience with GE Telemetry Monitoring systems and MediTech EMR.
