- Full-time, day shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide quality patient care in the outpatient dialysis setting, utilizing the nursing process.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments following nursing policies, standards, and regulations.
- Accurately document patient care activities according to established standards.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment procedures, care plans, and health management.
- Participate in department performance improvement activities and support unit initiatives.
- Use clinical expertise to support patient care across departments and ensure patient safety.
- Escalate patient concerns or safety issues promptly to appropriate leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current influenza vaccination
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in outpatient dialysis or nephrology nursing preferred
- Strong critical thinking and patient safety focus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
