• Travel, 13-week assignment, night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform sterile processing duties within the operating room unit, including cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and trays.
• Operate equipment such as Steris washers, Steris autoclaves, and other sterilization devices.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety guidelines related to sterile processing.
• Assist in preparing instruments for various surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, ENT, and other specialties.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the hospital’s Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Support supply management and ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for surgeries.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in sterile processing or surgical instrument sterilization.
• Certification in Sterile Processing (preferred).
• Ability to operate sterilization equipment such as Steris washers and autoclaves.
• Knowledge of hospital safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience handling a variety of surgical trays and instruments.
• Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically CensiTrac.
• Previous experience in a busy surgical unit performing procedures such as TKA, THA, lumbar spine, and other orthopedic or general surgeries.
