Job Title
• Registered Nurse - Mother Baby/Postpartum
Location
• Charlottesville, VA
Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Nights, 36 hours per week, every other weekend (Friday and Saturday), with required coverage during 2 out of 3 winter holidays. Note: Unable to approve time off for New Year's (12/31-01/01).
Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive postpartum and antepartum nursing care for mothers and newborns.
• Perform clinical reviews and participate in patient assessments within the Level II nursery setting.
• Float within skill set to cover NICU patients as needed, including Level II nursery care.
• Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for documentation and patient management.
Required Qualifications
• Valid Virginia nursing license (pending VA license submission is acceptable).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• NRPC (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts.
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience with postpartum and antepartum patient care.
• Prior NICU or neonatal nursery experience preferred.
