Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, 13-week assignment, Night shifts, 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care to individuals with kidney-related conditions, including acute or chronic kidney disease receiving renal replacement therapy.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members and specialists to deliver comprehensive renal care.
- Float to other units and hospitals as needed, maintaining flexibility to meet patient care demands.
- Follow unit protocols for post-hemodialysis and ongoing peritoneal dialysis treatments.
- Document patient assessments and interventions accurately in medical records.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license in Alabama or a Compact state (no temporary licenses).
- BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
- At least 1 year of RN experience, with a minimum of 18 months working under a professional license and 1 year in a specialized field.
- 2 years of nursing experience preferred.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working in a renal/nephrology unit.
- Knowledge of kidney-related patient care and dialysis procedures.
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to float requirements.
