Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, rotational shifts (12-hour shifts), 3 shifts per week, mid shifts (11a-11p)

Key Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in a Level 3 trauma center.
• Manage patient assessments, treatments, and documentation within the EPIC electronic health record system.
• Handle a high-acuity patient population, including psychiatric, COVID-19, and boarded patients.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and respiratory treatments following established protocols.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with all safety and hospital policies, including code protocols and equipment management.

Required Qualifications
• Valid RN license on file at time of submission.
• Minimum 1 year of recent emergency room or specialty nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (active or proof of completion prior to start).
• NIHSS certification (required prior to start).
• Epic electronic medical record experience within the past 2 years.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with patient ratios sometimes exceeding 1:4.

Additional Information
• Travel rate is $105/hour; local rate is $95/hour for shifts within 50 miles; higher for travel over 51 miles.
• All work history details (bed counts, EMR systems, facility type) must be complete for submission, with explanations for employment gaps over 90 days.
• Reliable transportation is required; vehicle with all-season or snow tires recommended during winter months.
• Orientation: 20-24 hours depending on contract length; bi-weekly orientations on Mondays.
• Dress code: Navy blue and white scrubs, closed-toe shoes, no artificial nails, and professional appearance.
• No blocked schedules; rotating shifts with self-scheduling.
• No weekend shifts required, but holiday coverage is expected.
• Unit-specific procedures include IV management, EKGs, respiratory treatments, and patient boarding protocols.
• Cell phone use and earbuds are strictly prohibited while working in the ER.
