Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts, temporary/float pool

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care for patients in a Med/Surg Tele/IMC float pool setting
• Float between Medical/Surgical units and Intermediate Care units, managing acuity levels and complex patient conditions
• Care for patients experiencing acute respiratory distress, septic shock, hypertensive crisis, severe congestive heart failure, myocardial infarction, unstable angina, and trauma
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Adhere strictly to hospital protocols and safety standards

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Telemetry/Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting
• Prior experience working on an IMC unit within a hospital environment
• Active RN license in the state of Maryland or the ability to license promptly
• Recent EPIC electronic medical record experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Recent Med/Surg Tele experience in a hospital setting
• Must be comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:6
• Must have received flu shot and completed a two-step PPD within the past year

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for critically ill or unstable patients
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to floating across multiple units efficiently
