• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in the IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units, float within units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
• Manage patient monitoring and respond to changes in patient conditions during overnight shifts
• Perform IV starts and telephonic documentation, ensuring accurate and timely updates
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care during night hours

Required Qualifications

• Valid compact or state nursing license in Ohio (or appropriate licensure for travel)
• Minimum of 2 years of recent PCU or stepdown experience
• BCLS and ACLS certification required
• Experience with IV starts and telephonic documentation required
• Ability to float within units of similar or lower acuity level

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac experience, especially in lower acuity cardiac units (preferred)
• Previous experience in PCU, IMC, or stepdown units
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills

Additional Notes

• Candidate must complete Ohio fingerprinting immediately upon signing contract; travel or mailing options available based on location
• All submissions must include RTO preferences and be made only to one location
• References: two professional references required, with at least one from a supervisor or a leadership role
• Candidates residing outside Ohio within driving distance must go to a fingerprinting location promptly; those farther away will receive a mailed fingerprinting packet
• No current employees of Ohio State University facilities are eligible for travel assignments
