• Full-time, onsite, day shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the operating room for various surgical cases, including vascular, orthopedic, robotic, thoracic, gynecologic, neurology, podiatry, plastics, urology, trauma, and endoscopic procedures.
• Assist with pre-operative preparation, intraoperative support, and post-operative care of patients across all age groups.
• Maintain sterile techniques and ensure compliance with safety standards throughout surgical procedures.
• Coordinate with surgical teams including anesthesiologists, CRNAs, and surgeons to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health records, primarily EPIC.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain up-to-date certifications such as BLS.

Required Qualifications

• Valid NY Registered Nurse license (or in ETA process)
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in an operating room setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts with flexibility for weekend coverage
• Current knowledge of OR systems and procedures, including Endoscopic, Thoracic, Orthopedic, and Robotics surgeries
• Willingness to complete required EKG testing within 72 hours of signing

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse or leadership experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC electronic documentation system preferred
• Knowledge of trauma level 2 or higher hospital settings
• Previous travel or community hospital experience
