Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, 16-week assignment with rotating shifts (8/10/12 hours as needed)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide acute dialysis care in a large, teaching hospital setting with over 500 beds
- Work in a high-acuity unit with very sick patients, ensuring safe and effective care
- Cover shifts as scheduled, including weekends, with one day of call every 7 days and weekend call rotation
- Maintain flexibility to work 2 out of 4 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, New Year's Day)
- Demonstrate proficiency with electronic medical records, specifically EPIC (experience within the past 2 years required)
Required Qualifications
- Valid AHA BLS certification
- Minimum of 3 years of professional nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience in acute care settings
- Experience working in large, teaching hospitals (500+ beds)
- Ability to work flexible shifts (8/10/12-hour), including call and floating duties
- Reliable transportation with the ability to navigate winter conditions (vehicles with all-season or snow tires recommended)
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Apheresis experience is a plus
- Experience working with very sick patients in an acute environment

Additional Details
- Assignment duration: 16 weeks with possibility of extension
- Orientation begins on 12/01 with bi-weekly sessions on Mondays

- Reliable transportation is a must; public transit is not accessible in this area
