• Full-time, Days shift, 10-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to patients in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor patient vital signs and recovery status closely, ensuring safety and stability.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate smooth patient recovery and transfer.
• Document patient conditions and care provided in accordance with hospital protocols.
• Manage patient needs during recovery, including pain management and readiness for discharge.
• Float within scope as needed to other units or facilities when necessary.

Required Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• At least 1 year of relevant PACU or post-operative nursing experience.
• Illinois state license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Experience working with diverse patient age groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
• Ability to adapt to rotating 10-hour shifts and call requirements.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment with staffing ratios of 1:3 during days and 1:2 during nights and weekends.
