Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location: Nashville, TN

Schedule / Job Type: Full-time, 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week (13-week travel assignment, starting 11/12/2025)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care in a medical-surgical unit with a focus on post-operative and general surgical patients.
• Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform wound care, including dressing changes and wound vac maintenance.
• Manage post-op surgical site maintenance and provide Foley catheter care, bladder irrigation, and ostomy appliance care.
• Perform procedures such as NG tube insertion, TPN administration, blood transfusions, and central line dressings.
• Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safe discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation using the Meditech EMR system.

Required Qualifications:

• Valid RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a registered nurse.
• Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment with short patient LOS.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Background in post-op surgical care, including vascular, bariatric, urology, colorectal, or general surgery.
• Experience with wound care, drains, and advanced surgical procedures.
• Outgoing, customer service-oriented personality.
