Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients with diverse and complex medical conditions.
• Perform assessments, administer treatments, and coordinate patient care in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Utilize skills in U/S IV insertion, IO insertion, EKG interpretation, and trauma procedures.
• Document patient information accurately in electronic medical records (Sunrise/Allscripts).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure prompt and effective patient care delivery.
• Follow unit policies, protocols, and safety procedures to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent ED experience.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (must be current for contract).
• Proficiency in U/S IV skills, EKG interpretation, and trauma protocols.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Dependability, punctuality, and ability to work flexible schedules.
• Ability to work in a team environment and handle high-acuity cases.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least one year of ED experience for HCA hired staff.
• Additional certifications such as MOAB.
• Familiarity with allscripts EMR system.
• Experience with complex cardiac cases, DKA, sepsis, and trauma care.
