Schedule / Job Type
Full-time, night shifts, 12-hour shifts, approximately 36 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care primarily on the 4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit, with occasional floating to various Med-Surg units such as Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, Observation, and ED/Med-Surg boarders
- Work night shift with every other weekend required
- Maintain proficiency in Epic EMR; refresher classes or one-on-one training are not options
- Demonstrate current active BLS certification
- Read and interpret Telemetry monitoring, and pass competency testing on day one
- Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of current/recent Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing experience
- Ability to read and interpret Telemetry monitors (testing on this skill will be conducted)
- Epic EMR proficiency (must be documented and verified in referral)
- Active BLS certification
- Valid state nursing license
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in medical-surgical units, especially in a hospital setting
- Experience working night shifts in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to floating between units as needed
