Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Days shift, 12.5-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Neuro Neurosciences unit
- Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to changes
- Assist with procedures such as Foley insertions and IV starts
- Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record system (Cerner)
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure quality patient care
- Follow unit policies and procedures, including dress code and safety protocols
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license
- ACLS certification
- NIH Stroke Scale certification (or equivalent)
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts on days
- Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Neuro-specific nursing experience
- Experience with NIH Stroke Scale assessments
- Experience working in a hospital setting with standard med-surg equipment
