Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialized ICU nursing care to neuro, trauma, cardiac, and other critical patient populations.
• Manage ventilated patients, IV drip titration, telemetry monitoring, and conscious sedation.
• Float as needed to stepdown units, ED, or Med-Surg to support patient care.
• Monitor and respond to dysrhythmias and emergency situations, including stroke and post-neurosurgical care.
• Ensure adherence to patient safety protocols and documentation, following facility standards and EPIC system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality critical care.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Virginia or compact nursing license in hand at the time of submission.
• Strong neuro ICU experience, with expertise in post-neurosurgical, EVD, and stroke patients.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• NIHSS certification.
• Ability to float to stepdown units and other critical care areas as needed.
• EPIC EHR proficiency.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3+ years of critical care experience, with preference for neuro or ICU background.
• Previous travel nursing experience.
• Experience with ventilators, IV titrations, and telemetry monitoring.
• Ability to perform and pass EKG testing, with at least 80% score.
