- Full-time, 13-26 week contract, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult surgical and medical patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, including use of rapid response teams and blood product administration
- Care for central and peripheral lines, surgical drains, and manage non-invasive airway devices
- Adhere to isolation precautions, wound care procedures, wound vac management, and utilize hospital systems for documentation and medication management
- Respond effectively to emergency situations, including managing ICU procedures when required
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of surgical/medical nursing experience on a surgical unit
- Valid NC or Compact State registered nurse license, in hand at start date
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- Ability to pass EKG testing prior to start
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Knowledge of chest tubes (Emerson/Pleur-evac), wound vacs, and advanced inpatient procedures
