• Full-time, Night shifts (3x12-hour shifts per week), 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to patients across intermediate, progressive, and stepdown units.
• Float between various units including medical-surgical, cardiac, rehab, PACU, and inpatient holding areas, based on census and needs.
• Monitor and respond to patient conditions, including patients with ventilators and those requiring telemetry.
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Comply with all safety, infection control, and hospital policies, including crisis response during emergencies.

Required Qualifications

• Valid NC or Compact license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in a hospital setting, specifically in IMC, PCU, or stepdown units.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHP.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start.
• Proficiency with unit systems such as EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR communication.
• Ability to work night shifts and flexible in floating across multiple inpatient units.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with ventilated patients and telemetry monitoring.
• Familiarity with trauma or stroke care protocols.
• Ability to adapt to COVID-19 patient care and related safety procedures.
