Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ICU nursing care to adult patients in a busy acute care hospital setting.
- Monitor and document patient vitals, respond to emergencies, and administer medications per physician orders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, safety procedures, and maintain compliance with certification standards.
- Handle patient assessments, provide emotional support, and educate patients and families about care plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records using Epic charting system.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California nursing license in good standing.
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU nursing experience.
- Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends every other week.
- Must be willing to float within hospital units and to nearby facilities as needed.
- Willingness to work major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Epic charting.
- Previous hospital-based ICU experience.
- Ability to work a block schedule or flexible hours.
