Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night shift, 13-week assignment, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for telemetry patients in a high-acuity setting.
- Monitor patient vitals and cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Assist with procedures such as central line management and medication drips.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical records system.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas or proper multi-state licensure.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU/Telemetry experience.
- Ability to work independently with strong critical thinking skills.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR system.
- Skilled in procedures such as central lines, medication drips, and heart cath recovery.
- Positive attitude and engagement, adaptable to hospital policies and team dynamics.
- Experience working with advanced telemetry equipment such as PCA and IV pumps.
