Key Responsibilities

• Provide pulmonary care for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in critical and non-critical settings under physician supervision.
• Perform assessments and develop respiratory care plans, including ventilator management, arterial line sampling, and airway support.
• Manage various respiratory procedures such as airway suctioning, aerosolized medication delivery, and blood gas analysis.
• Assist in emergency situations (Code Blue/White) and respond to rapid changes in patient condition.
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators, oscillators, nitric oxide therapy, and other respiratory equipment.
• Participate in patient evaluations, documentation, and quality assurance activities.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RT or RCP license in Louisiana.
• Current BLS certification through AHA.
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications through AHA.
• Neonatal and adult ICU experience, including ventilator management.
• Ability to work independently in a Level III NICU setting and handle complex respiratory therapies.
• Experience with arterial line sampling and intubation is a plus.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 1–3 years of experience in neonatal and adult ICU settings.
• Knowledge of ventilator troubleshooting, nitric oxide therapy, and pulmonary function testing.
• Experience working in a fast-paced hospital environment, including NICU and adult ICU.
