- Full-time, Night shifts, 12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care to obstetrical patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced maternity unit
- Manage double labor assignments and respond efficiently to high patient volumes (>300 births per month)
- Perform circulating duties, sterile vaginal exams, and immediate newborn care
- Administer medications, monitor fetal and maternal well-being, and assist with high-risk obstetrical procedures
- Support scheduled and unscheduled cesarean births, rescue cervical cerclages, and high-risk antepartum/postpartum care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality maternity care
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of obstetrical nursing experience, preferred 3+ years for comfort in a challenging environment
- Experience with high-volume units (over 300 births per month)
- Proficiency in circulating, sterile exams, and newborn care
- Valid BCLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and manage double labor assignments
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in OR circulating or high-acuity OB units
- Prior travelers accepted, especially those with similar high-volume, fast-paced background
- Familiarity with hospital systems such as EPIC, PYXIS, and SBAR
