Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Assist students in achieving their educational and behavioral goals according to district and state standards
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student success
- Monitor and document student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies as needed
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Required Qualifications
- Valid Florida State Department of Education Professional Educator Certificate in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
- Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience teaching in a public school environment
- Knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
