• Full-time, 12-hour shifts, Mids (midday)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to emergency department patients across all ESI levels.
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-level providers, and team members to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor patient conditions using Philips monitors, interpret strips, and respond efficiently to emergency situations.
• Administer medications, perform assessments, and carry out treatments such as ABGs, breathing treatments, and EKGs.
• Support patient flow and care in a trauma Level II emergency department with 11 beds, 2 trauma rooms, and 3 fast track rooms.
• Assist with patient care duties including support from nurse aids, EMTs, and paramedics at ratios around 1:10.

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license or confirmation of application process.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Recent Epic EMR experience.
• Understanding of OSF policies including drug-free campus requirements.
• Ability to produce a negative drug screen.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working as an ER RN in a Level II trauma center.
• Ability to adapt to shift rotations including weekends, holidays, and occasional unit float.
• Familiarity with Philips monitors and emergency patient care protocols.
