Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Days shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours per shift
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to surgical patients in a medical-surgical/telemetry unit within an acute care hospital.
- Follow ERAS protocols and protocols for enhanced recovery after surgery.
- Float within scope to other MS/Tele floors as needed, including facilities within the same health system.
- Document patient care accurately in the EPIC charting system.
- Assist with patient assessments, medication administration, and care planning.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Valid state RN license in Illinois (or compact license from a participating state).
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience, with at least 2 years in a similar setting.
- BLS certification.
- EPIC charting experience.
- Ability to work every other weekend.
- Willingness to float within scope to other units.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with surgical patients following ERAS programs.
- Previous work in a Magnet-designated hospital.
- Experience working in acute care hospitals with telemetry units.
