Schedule / Job Type
- Full-time, Day shifts, 3x12-hour shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care to Medical Surgical and Telemetry patients in an acute care hospital setting
- Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and established protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs, react to changes in patient condition, and document all care accurately in the electronic charting system
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to deliver comprehensive patient care and ensure safety and satisfaction
- Support patient education and discharge planning as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid State Nursing License (Illinois or compact state license accepted at submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum two years of nursing experience in a Medical-Surgical or Telemetry unit
- Experience with EPIC electronic health record system preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain compliance requirements and necessary documentation within designated timelines
Preferred Experience / Skills
- IV start proficiency
- Pediatric or adult telemetry experience
- Flexibility to float within hospital units and affiliate hospitals as needed
