• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 4 days per week, full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a Step Down Unit, including titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, insulin drips, and managing trach vents, art lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes.
• Monitor and support patients with acute conditions, ensuring safe and effective care within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver consistent, high-quality patient care.
• Document patient information using EPIC electronic charting system.
• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Float within hospital departments or nearby facilities as needed to meet operational requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid State RN license (Missouri license or compact license required at submission; Illinois license must be in hand).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent bedside experience in acute care settings.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale.
• Ability to titrate vasopressors, sedation meds, insulin drips, and manage ventilated patients including trach vents and external pacemakers.
• Must have been at the bedside within the last 6 months.
• Successful completion of required charting system (EPIC) experience.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in IMC, PCU, or Stepdown units.
• Prior experience with titration of drips and external device management.
• Ability to float within hospital units or to affiliate hospitals.
• Familiarity with hospital policies related to travel and licensing.
