• Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, full-time, 13-week contract

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled patient care in a busy ICU setting, including monitoring and managing critically ill patients.
• Administer vasoactive drips, blood products, and manage arterial lines with precision.
• Recognize and treat dysrhythmias, utilizing telemetry equipment to monitor and respond to patient needs.
• Follow protocols for airway management, including tracheostomy care, non-invasive ventilation, and airway emergencies.
• Support patients with complex diagnoses such as respiratory distress, hemodynamic instability, post-op recovery, and more.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including rapid response and code teams, to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICU, step-down, or telemetry experience.
• Current NC or Compact nursing license and in hand at start.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH.
• Proficiency with IV starts, telemetry interpretation, and conscious sedation.
• Experience with arterial lines, titrating vasoactive drips, and invasive procedures such as chest tubes and line management.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nurse experience accepted, including first-time travelers.
• Experience working in high-acuity units with complex patient needs.
• Ability to float to related units such as ICCU as needed, with no restrictions.
