Schedule / Job Type
- Contract, 8-week assignment
- Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 3 nights per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit, managing ventilators and administering nebulizers under RN or RT supervision
- Perform unit-specific procedures including 12-lead EKGs, Lasix infusions, blood transfusions, and telemetry monitoring
- Support various medical-surgical units, including neurology, cardiac, bariatric, general medicine, general surgery, gynecology, urology, orthopedics, oncology, transplant, and vascular
- Maintain patient ratios averaging 4:1 during the day and 6:1 at night
- Document and coordinate patient care using Epic electronic health record system
Required Qualifications
- Valid MA RN license (must be submitted at time of application)
- Minimum of 3 years of related nursing experience, including prior travel experience preferred
- Current CPR (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate web-based applications
- Experience with Epic EHR system required
- Level I trauma certification and experience in a teaching hospital environment preferred
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience in a hospital setting with specialty area expertise
- Experience supporting patients with complex medical needs, such as ventilator management and telemetry monitoring
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-unit environment with minimal schedule flexibility but RTO requests honored
