- Travel, Days shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week, estimated duration of 13 weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to cardiothoracic ICU patients in a busy hospital setting.
- Titrate vesicant medications, manage pressors, sedation, and paralytics.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and hemodynamic data, including PA catheter setups.
- Perform advanced procedures such as cardioversion, central line insertions, and chest tube management.
- Maintain accurate documentation using the Cerner system.
- Float to various ICU units as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Required Qualifications
- ICU experience in a hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Vents, Trachs, telemetry interpretation, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Titration of vesicant medications, familiarity with pressors, sedation, and paralytics.
- RN license in the state of North Carolina or relevant multi-state license.
- Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and weekend rotations.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Certifications such as CCRN are recommended.
- Experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT is a plus.
- Knowledge of cardiothoracic procedures including TEE and transvenous pacing.
