Key Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care in a Medical Surgical/Tele unit, including overflow, post-surgical, and observation patients.
• Transition to team nursing model, supporting LPNs during the process.
• Observe and follow all patient care protocols, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Document patient assessments and interventions accurately within the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
• Adhere to hospital policies regarding on-call, holiday coverage, and run RTO requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee or a valid compact license.
• Minimum of 2 years recent hospital experience in Med Surg or Tele units.
• At least one completed travel assignment preferred.
• Strong clinical skills in medical-surgical and post-surgical patient management.
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts (19:00-07:00).
• Candidate must meet Tier 2 travel compliance standards and be in accordance with NLC guidelines.
• Must provide a copy of DL at time of submission.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cerner electronic medical record system experience.
• Additional certifications such as BLS, ACLS preferred or required per hospital policy.
• Experience working with float teams or across multiple units within 20 miles.
