Registered Nurse PreOp

Job Title
• Registered Nurse (PreOp) – Operating Room

Location
• Sitka, AK

Schedule / Job Type
• Full-time, Contract

Key Responsibilities
• Provide preoperative nursing care within the Operating Room of a regional health organization.
• Assist in a variety of elective and emergency surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN.
• Ensure smooth flow of surgical cases throughout the day, multi-tasking efficiently.
• Staff the OR during nights, holidays, and weekends utilizing after-hours call services.
• Maintain compliance with all licensing, vaccination, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications
• Valid, current, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN, Associate, or Diploma).
• Minimum of 3 years OR experience.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS and PALS preferred.
• Flu vaccination required.

Preferred Experience / Skills
• Experience working in Critical Access Hospitals or rural Operating Rooms.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced surgical environment.
