• Full-time, 13-week travel assignment, day shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and general medical surgical patients in a stepdown environment
• Monitor patient conditions using telemetry and respond to changes promptly
• Manage complex procedures such as epidural management, chest tube care, IV medication administration, and cardiac medication titration
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
• Document patient care activities accurately in electronic medical records
• Ensure adherence to unit policies and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or relevant state
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience, preferably in IMC/PCU or stepdown units
• Recent telemetry and cardiovascular surgical experience
• Ability to work 12.5-hour day shifts, with minimum of six weekend shifts per schedule period

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with cardiovascular surgeries such as CABG, TAVR, lobectomy, AAA repair, fem-pop bypass
• Previous experience in CVICU or high-acuity cardiac stepdown units
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR system
• Strong team player with adaptability to fast-paced environments
