Job Title

• Medical Laboratory Technologist / Clinical Lab Scientist

Location

• Carmel, Indiana

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, shift work (alternating shifts: 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM and 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM), primarily evening and night shifts, Monday to Friday with rotating weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing in a hospital clinical laboratory across various departments, including Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and Kit Testing.
• Work independently at multiple site locations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of tests.
• Float within scope within the hospital and affiliate sites as needed.
• Utilize laboratory information systems such as Cerner for charting and documentation.
• Provide coverage for all shifts, including weekends and major holidays, as required.

Required Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) or Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS), with temporary licenses acceptable upon application.
• Minimum of 1 year of laboratory experience; 18 months preferred.
• Certification from ASCP (MLS, MLT, or MT) required.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple sites with flexibility.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a hospital clinical laboratory, particularly with pediatric and adolescent cases.
• Blood bank experience and generalist laboratory skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, acute care hospital setting with a 24/7 ER.
• Flexibility to work a block schedule and float within hospital departments.
