- Full-time, 12-hour day shifts (Days)
- Contract, 3 shifts per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide patient care for orthopedic, neuro spine, and med-surg post-surgical populations
- Monitor and manage patient pain and vitals, including IV starts and telemetry
- Adhere to unit protocols, maintaining a fast-paced environment with a patient census averaging 37 patients
- Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR system
- Float to other units within the facility as needed to meet staffing demands
- Comply with holiday and weekend shift requirements, including coverage and making up missed shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC or Compact license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of inpatient RN experience, specifically in Orthopedics and Telemetry
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- BLS, NRP certifications required before start
- Successful pass of EKG testing prior to onboarding
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification
- Charge nurse experience or Level I trauma experience
- Prior travel nurse experience, especially with Epic EMR
- Experience caring for post-surgical and neuro spine patients
