Key Responsibilities

• Develop an overall view of patients, families, and caregivers by establishing strong partnerships dedicated to optimal care.

• Facilitate the delivery of optimal patient care through delegation, facilitation, collaboration, critical thinking, and prioritization.

• Manage the care environment and ensure effective communication across all members of the healthcare team.

• Independently plan and provide professional nursing care in accordance with physician orders, established hospital and departmental policies, and applicable nursing standards and practice acts.

• Uphold compliance with the American Nurses Association Standards of Clinical Practice, the Indiana Nurse Practice Act, and the ANA Code of Ethics.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

• Current CPR certification required.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required upon hire (as of June 1, 2021).

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a NICU specialty setting.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Additional certifications may be required based on unit-specific needs.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Demonstrated leadership experience within a NICU or similar specialty care environment.

• Experience with care coordination and interdisciplinary team collaboration.

• Familiarity with quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based nursing practices.
