Key Responsibilities
- Operate diagnostic imaging equipment and perform specialized interventional radiology procedures in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Work alongside physicians to perform a variety of cardiovascular and neuro interventional procedures, setting up and adjusting equipment as required.
- Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic images of the area of interest, while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
- Practice sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination to patients and instruments throughout all procedures.
- Provide radiation protection to patients, technologists, and all personnel in the area utilizing PPE and established safety guidelines.
- Recognize emergent situations and activate appropriate assistance; assist other areas and shifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technology training program.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Licensed with the Indiana State Department of Health.
- Current CPR Certification.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with shared lifting assistance.
- Must be able to take call and reside within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to call requirements.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology procedures.
- Specialty certification through ARRT in a relevant area (e.g., cardiovascular-interventional or neuro).
- Demonstrated knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures.
- Strong ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills in a fast-paced clinical environment.
