Sterile Processing Technician

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days (5x8 Hours, 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM) | Rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Perform decontamination of all items including drills, robotic surgical instruments, and scopes
• Assemble instruments across all service lines including trauma sets, loaner trays, and peel packaging
• Execute sterilization processes utilizing Sterrad and steam sterilization methods
• Perform High-Level Disinfection (HLD) and scope reprocessing
• Maintain sterile storage areas in accordance with departmental standards
• Serve as OR Liaison and utilize instrument tracking systems to manage inventory and workflow

Required Qualifications

• Active CBSPD or CRCST certification required
• Demonstrated experience with High-Level Disinfection (HLD) processes
• Proficiency in all areas of sterile processing including decontamination, assembly, and sterilization
• Experience with scope reprocessing and robotic surgical instrument handling
• Ability to work rotating weekends and occasional scheduled holidays

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Censitrac or similar instrument tracking systems
• OR Liaison experience within a surgical services department
• Familiarity with loaner tray management and trauma instrument sets
