Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit including LDR rooms, OB Triage, Antepartum, OR suites, and PACU
• Manage and monitor laboring patients, inductions, and high-risk antepartum cases with average daily deliveries around 7, with census frequently reaching up to 14 patients
• Perform OB triage assessments for third-trimester testing patients and incoming triage patients
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system for all clinical documentation and charting
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate hospitals as needed to meet staffing needs
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities; charge experience preferred or on-the-job charge training available

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required prior to start; pending license accepted at time of submission (must be in hand for offer)
• Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required
• Candidate's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience in a Labor and Delivery or OB setting
• Experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma acute care hospital
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records system
