Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holidays Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services to adult critical care patients across cardiovascular and medical-surgical ICU settings
• Care for complex patient populations including post-cardiac surgery, heart and lung transplant, ECMO, IABP, Impella, ARDS, septic shock, and hematologic/oncologic emergencies
• Operate and manage advanced mechanical circulatory support and ventilator management in high-acuity environments
• Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
• Float as needed to adult population areas within the same facility, utilizing consistent policies, equipment, and charting systems
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as required

Required Qualifications

• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required; Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) will be considered
• Active South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license must be in hand at time of start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of adult critical care respiratory therapy experience
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records preferred

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with advanced mechanical circulatory support devices including ECMO, IABP, and Impella
• Background in cardiovascular ICU or cardiothoracic surgical patient care
• Familiarity with heart and lung transplant patient management
