Registered Nurse – Mohs Surgery

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days (4x10s, 7:00a–5:30p) | No weekends | No on-call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to assigned Mohs surgery patients in an outpatient clinic setting
• Record patient histories, perform diagnostic assessments, administer medications, and develop individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the medical team
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment as necessary
• Observe and document patients' progress and responses in the electronic medical record
• Promote patient independence by educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care skills

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license required to be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience
• Current BLS certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher accepted
• Assignment is Mohs Surgery only; no floating to other units required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher degree preferred
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: First Assist, Circulator, suture and suture removal, cautery, laser safety, smoke evacuation, dermatology, Mohs surgery, ENT, ambulatory procedures, head and neck surgery, skin grafts, or administration of local anesthesia via injection
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records
