Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Rotating Shifts (7:00am–3:30pm, 3:00pm–11:30pm, 11:00pm–7:30am) | Every Other Weekend | 5x8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to child and adolescent patients in an inpatient psychiatric setting
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Monitor patient behavior and mental status, documenting changes and communicating with the care team
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and compliance
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support therapeutic treatment goals
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a psychiatric setting
- Active and unrestricted Connecticut RN license, or a valid Compact RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and every other weekend
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working with child and adolescent psychiatric populations
- Availability to work every weekend or primarily weekend shifts
