Endoscopy / GI Technician

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating call

Key Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff and physician during endoscopic procedures including polypectomy, biopsies, screening exams, ERCP, and dilations
• Disinfect and process endoscopic equipment and assist with equipment troubleshooting
• Set up procedure rooms and stock rooms with necessary supplies and equipment
• Transport patients as needed and assist with ambulation and dressing as directed by nursing staff
• Apply EKG monitors, blood pressure cuffs, and pulse oximetry prior to the start of each case

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Active Colorado DORA Surgical Tech Registration required — card must be in hand prior to submission
• Minimum of 2 years of endoscopy technician experience required
• Advanced case endoscopy experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Society of Gastroenterology Nurses and Associates (SGNA) Associates Program and/or Advanced Associates Program certification
• Current IAHCSMM Certified Endoscope Reprocessor (CER) certification
