Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Title

• Registered Nurse – Stepdown / PCU / IMC

Schedule / Job Type

• Full-time, Days shift, 3 shifts per week, 12-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advanced nursing care to patients in the Stepdown/IMC unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
• Float as needed to other units within the hospital to care for similar patient populations.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and document patient care accurately.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement and update care plans.
• Recognize and respond to acute patient changes, including ECG rhythm recognition and safe medication administration.
• Complete assigned assessments and procedures adhering to hospital protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State License.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent, permanent experience in a similar specialty (travel experience acceptable).
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores.
• Two recent references from a supervisor, manager, or director in the nursing specialty.
• Clear drug screen (10-panel + Nicotine/Cotinine).
• Completion of necessary background checks within 48 hours of contract signing.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience in PCU/Progressive Care.
• Experience working in a hospital setting with float capabilities.
