Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments and provide speech therapy interventions for residents with communication, swallowing, and cognitive needs.
- Create individualized therapy plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises and strategies to enhance speech and swallowing function.
- Monitor and document resident progress toward established therapy goals.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current, valid Oregon state license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Valid CPR certification.
- Must be able to pass a state-required background check prior to patient/resident contact.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Minimum six months of experience in a long-term care environment.
- Experience with NETHEALTH electronic documentation systems.
