Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments incorporating culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors, in accordance with RN scope of practice and applicable policies.
• Develop, implement, and continuously evaluate individualized plans of care in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team.
• Administer patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy within scope of practice, explaining treatments and processes to patients and families.
• Recognize, respond to, and communicate changes in patient condition in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members.
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities including patient satisfaction, fall prevention, pressure ulcer prevention, CAUTI reduction, and documentation auditing.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform age-specific patient safety assessments and implement appropriate safety measures.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across care team members.
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on computer systems and clinical applications.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an ICU or acute care setting.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
